Abstract Submission Deadline Fast Approaching

Act now! The deadline to submit abstracts for the 11th Asia-Pacific Vitreo-retina Society (APVRS) Congress in Kuala Lumpur is fast approaching on Monday, July 17, 2017. Free paper, poster, e-poster and video submissions are welcomed.

Don’t forget! Submitted abstracts for APVRS 2017 will compete for this year’s new abstract awards, sponsored by Novartis and the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology, as outlined below.

Scientific Program Highlights

Retinal detachment is one of the most challenging conditions facing retinal specialists. This master class aimed at fellows and trainees will be conducted by world-renowned experts, who will cover the management of various types of retinal detachment cases in a practical and informative manner. Details of the social program at APVRS 2017 have been announced!

The Congress Party at APVRS 2017 will allow delegates to experience all the highlights of Malaysian culture and cuisine in one beautiful location. The Grand Ballroom of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, with majestic views of the Petronas Twin Towers, will be transformed into a spectacle of hawker style food stands offering tasty treats and interactive handicraft stations showcasing traditions of Malaysia.

Attendees can feast on Malaysian delicacies such as roti canai and Hainanese chicken rice, or try their hand at pewter smithing, basket weaving, batik (fabric) painting and more. Additional entertainment will be provided by Malaysia’s National Dance Troupe, who will perform music and dance representing various ethnic groups in Malaysia.

The Congress Party at APVRS 2017 is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm. Tickets are now available for purchase via the online Congress system. Act now: Buy Congress Party tickets in conjunction with APVRS registration fees and save US$25 per ticket!
