The Asia-Pacific Vitreo-retina Society (APVRS) is pleased to offer up to 5 Prof. Yasuo Tano Travel Grants for young vitreo-retinal specialists in the Asia-Pacific region to attend the 11th APVRS Congress. Priority will be given to applicants under the age of 40, from a developing country and whose presentations (free paper, poster or video) have been accepted by the Scientific Program Committee of the 11th APVRS Congress. Each successful applicant will receive US$500 if they live outside the host country of the 11th APVRS Congress (Malaysia) whereas those who live in the host country will receive US$250.
Additionally, the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology (MSO), the local host of the Congress, will offer two types of travel grants for APVRS 2017.
- MSO Travel Grants of MYR $1000 each for up to 5 delegates whose presentations (free paper, poster or video) have been accepted by the Scientific Program Committee of the 11th APVRS Congress;
- Keshmahinder Singh Travel Grants of MYR $1000 each for up to 10 delegates whose presentations (free paper, poster or video) have been accepted by the Scientific Program Committee of the 11th APVRS Congress.
Applications for all 3 types of travel grants will be open from June 5 to August 31, 2017. Interested ophthalmologists should complete the online application form via the APVRS Congress System (http://congress.apvrs.org/). Selection results will be announced by early October.
